My journey as a fibre artist has involved experimentation in a wide variety of techniques with fabric or fibre as the medium and/ or the base. Since 2016, my preferred art form is creating wet felted art with hand and machine embellishment. Other techniques used in my work include painting and dying fabric, free motion drawing with my sewing machine, wax crayon melt, photo transfer, water soluble crayons, crayon pencil shading, embroidery and collage. Lately, I been experimenting with mixed media with collage and photo transfer on acrylic painted backgrounds.

My creative journey is fueled by a desire to grow and learn. I recently took four on-line courses with Moy Mackay, an internationally renowned wet felting artist. I am a member of Studio Art Quilt Associates and the International Felt Makers Association. Currently, my focus has been on creating art for the pleasure of the experience and as a creative outlet. I am inspired by travel, gardens and the wonders of nature.
