ARTIST OPPORTUNITIES

At Camrose Arts Society, we strive to provide opportunities for artists of all levels and interests. We are a not-for-profit organization that promotes, nurtures, and supports the arts for the enrichment of community and life. Part of our fundraising dollars go towards creating and supporting art opportunities in the community.

The Camrose Arts Society envisions being the hub for a vibrant artistic Camrose community, a place where artists, explorers of art, enthusiasts and community arts organizations/groups collaborate, engage and create together through supporting artists and arts organizations/groups of all types (visual,
performing, literature, cinematic, music) through specialized events, collaborations and programs based on needs of the community.

We strive to promote the value of the arts in all forms and its capacity to create community connectivity through city wide initiatives and events and increasing accessibility to the arts for all members of the community.

We currently have the following opportunities available for our artists and artisans.

Miquelon Lake Art Display April – September 2025

We have an exciting opportunity for one lucky artist to show their visual art at Miquelon Lake Provincial Park. As with our other displays we do not want you to think this is exclusive to painters. We welcome anyone who has art that fits within the parameters of providing visual, and eye-catching pieces. The medium you use is not a hindrance.

The art will be displayed in their main conference room that is used for various business events, and the walls are viewed by a large number of campers every year. This is an incredible opportunity for the chosen participant, but we have a couple of catches that will need to be agreed to:

1) The people running Miquelon Lake would like the art to be nature and wildlife themed, with a preference leaning towards an artist who represents local landscapes.

2) You have to be willing to keep your art up throughout the camping season, which is generally considered to be from April through September. This year, however, you could display as early as March.

3) You accept that Miquelon lake is not liable for your artwork. It is not a requirement, but strongly suggested that you have insurance.

4) You must have a minimum of 8 pieces to display for large (16″ x 20″ and above) and 12 small (16″ x 20″ and below).

If this is of interest to you we welcome you to reach out with some photos, and info about your body of work. Nothing is too out of the box so if you’re excited to display your work, then we’re excited to talk to you about it. The more detail you can provide the better so don’t be afraid to tell us a long story.

Applications will be accepted no later than March 10th 2025, and the chosen applicant will be notified as soon as possible.
