Liz Hughes
My passion for creating art started with photography, where I often create abstract images. My multi-layered mixed media practice continues that exploration, focusing on the interplay of light – extremes between the darkest darks and the lightest lights, often resulting in dramatic collisions of colour.

I got back in touch with inner child “artist” during covid. Began with doodling, then progressed to more scenes, floral, then currently abstract via fluid pours. No one style….just “playing around”…..not always a plan!

Creativity has been a life-long interest. Although I have not spent much time practising art. The college of “trial & error” educated me… After trying many ways of applying paint I find impressionism helps me look above the paint.
